Mobile Workshop

Conference goers have a chance to join a mobile workshop to the East End Maker Hub (EEMH) — a state-of-the-art makerspace and manufacturing center. The Urban Partnerships Community Development Corporation and TXRX Labs collaborated to launch the partnership and successfully leveraged $37 million—including support from the EDA Austin Regional Office.
EEMH is expected to generate over $150 million in annual economic impact for the Houston economy, create over 400 jobs, support locally owned businesses, and provide a slate of career and trade skills training programs. EEMH leadership will provide an overview of the Hub and a tour of the space.
The mobile workshop is limited to 28 attendees and there is an additional fee of $40 to participate. Pre-registration is required. If you want to attend the workshop and have already registered for the conference, contact NADO Operations Manager, Krystal De Leon.
As part of the annual conference, SWREDA is conducting its annual membership meeting. The meeting will take place on from 11 a.m. to noon, Friday April 29, 2022 at the Omni Houston Hotel. During this meeting, SWREDA members will vote on updating the organization’s bylaws.
