
This year’s conference will cover economic development topics ranging from broadband infrastructure expansion to outdoor recreation and tourism to the affordable and accessible housing and healthcare during the three day event — May 3 through 5 in New Orleans. Conference attendees also will hear from Build Back Better and Good Jobs grantees as they share their work. The EDA will provide training on its grants reporting software EDGE.

Executive Directors Institute
This year will feature the first ever Executive Director Institute from 1 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, the day before the conference opens. Whether they new to their organization, mid-career, or a seasoned professional, the institute promises to be an informative and timely opportunity to enhance leadership skills for economic development district executive directors.

SWREDA General Membership Meeting
During the 2023 Annual Conference, SWREDA will hold a General Membership Meeting at 9:15 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023 and will consider proposed amendments to the association’s bylaws. More details about the General Membership Meeting are included in the conference agenda. The proposed amendments have been made available for members to review.
